Prior to Ayurveda, I completed a Bachelor Degree in Design for Live Production, Theatre & Events in Sydney at the Enmore Design Centre. I went on to work in the Festival, Events & TV industries primarily in Melbourne. I worked incredibly long hours in managerial & operational roles for some of Australia’s biggest festivals & events, as well as worked in technical camera assistant roles, as well as a photographer & stylist.
This was an incredibly exciting period of my life filled with travel & opportunity, however after a few years juggling these freelance short-term contracts, I desired a more sustainable and balanced lifestyle incorporating a deeper sense of spirituality & sustainability - which led me to Ayurveda.
Already a qualified Yoga Teacher, I had been practising yoga regularly since 2007 and teaching on Retreats, Yoga Teacher Trainings and in Private Sessions since 2012. I was first introduced to Ayurveda whilst teaching at a yoga retreat centre in Cambodia in 2014 by another facilitator - who has since founded Vagabond Temple. For me, learning about Ayurveda was a profound ‘aha’ moment and simply aligned with the yogic philosophy & buddhist texts of which I had been familiar with since childhood.
I decided to move from Melbourne to Byron Bay, Australia to study Ayurveda - and have never looked back. Since moving to the Northern Rivers NSW now nearly 9 years ago from Melbourne, I have progressively been enjoying a slower paced lifestyle, more connected to nature, built & lived in a tiny home off-grid and continue to share my passion of slow, sattvic & sustainable living with my clients, supporting their motherhood dreams.
About Me, Asher-Lily Green
I’m passionate about health and the deeper connection between body, mind and spirit & am deeply inspired by ancient Eastern traditions with their timeless and practical application.
My vision is to integrate the ancient Vedic wisdom sciences of Ayurveda, Yoga & Astrology combined with modern Fertility Education & Awareness to offer a truly holistic guide to well-being for fertility and the journey from maiden to mother. A big part of my personal interest is uncovering the recognition and deeper perspective of health being connected with our inherent spiritual nature - regardless of faith or tradition.
Having graduated from the Diploma of Ayurveda in 2016 and the Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda in 2019 at Byron Ayurveda College in Byron Bay with Professor Jason Chandler, I completed over 700 hours of clinical practice as part of my 4 year training & have the highest qualification in Ayurvedic Medicine in Australia. I practised at the Mudita Institute for 1 year before establishing my own clinical practise Brushbox Studio Clinic for 3 years until I now run my clinical practise online, offering customised programs for preconception, pregnancy & postpartum.
I also offer Ayurveda Education on various niche topics which can compliment and enhance your retreat or training - please email me at hello@artoflivingayurveda.com for enquiries & bookings

About Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a holistic and energetic medicine that guides us toward health, happiness & longevity utilising ancient wisdom culminating the interrelationship between Mind, Body Senses & Soul.
When one’s body-intelligence becomes imbalanced over time due to improper diet, lifestyle, relationships or stress, it creates disharmony in the body-mind. This imbalance if unnoticed or not tended to, can lead to disease manifestation, and issues such as hormonal imbalances & fertility challenges.
Ayurveda offers us timeless principles and tools, still applicable today through its rich knowledge of Daily Practices (Dinacharya), Diet & Nutrition (Ahaar), Lifestyle & Therapies (Vihaar) & Medicines (Aushadi) to promote health and wellbeing for all.
We all have an inner knowing, a compass to guide one towards health - I believe Ayurveda is a guide for showing us the way.
