Buckwheat & Apple Porridge Recipe
The thing about ‘Ayurvedic cooking’ that took me YEARS to appreciate, is that it’s all about the feeling - it’s all about the energetics of cooking.
This Buckwheat & Apple Porridge is a delicious, grounding start to your day. Especially excellent to pacify Kapha dosha - the internal earth and water elements within - during the late winter & spring seasons.
Even during my Ayurveda training we were never told an exact recipe, it was always approximate. This can be very frustrating for those of us who love to follow guidelines ‘perfectly’!
However, as I have learnt over the years this has been a huge blessing. Feeling as you’re cooking. Be present with the process of cooking as much as you can, even if there are other life stressors going on.
So this is my invitation to you.. to use this creation (recipe) instructions as a guide online, changing or tweaking as you feel necessary. You might like to call this intuitive cooking. It might become a natural way of cooking for you (if it isn’t already)!
Please share with any perfectionists who need to hear this.. and offer them this breakfast buckwheat and apple porridge ‘recipe’ as a challenge and see what happens! 😜
